

It is obvious that I have to work on joining the various chains neatly to the base of the ring.
The chains in my motif look pretty twisted. Now that I have figured out the instructions, I'll try working the same pattern in a single colour.
This is where I'll log my tatting atttempts. When I first started tatting 15 years ago, it took me about 10 days to understand how the stitch changes over. I have progressed to teaching my students to form a ring within 2 days. Last summer, thanks to free lessons on the internet, I learnt split ring tatting. But the journey has just begun. There seems to be no end to learning. The list of things to learn is endless. Right now, it is a struggle with Cluny leaves and Interlocked split rings.
